Summary Statistics on Average Salary Data



Overview:

Department chairs were surveyed in January 2002. The email-based survey asked each chair to provide the most current average salary data by faculty rank.

Thirty-two of the department chairs provided at least one average: 21 chairs (68%) at public universities/colleges and 11 (42%) at private universities/colleges.
